Customers can choose between locally fabricated Car Carrier / Self Loader bodies or Japan-imported systems and configurations, subject to availability, specifications and project requirements.
Common Car Carrier / Self Loader Configurations
7,500kg BDM
Common body length: approximately 17ft–24ft
Popular for car carrier, towing, vehicle recovery and light self-loader applications.
Available in Half Down or Full Down / Full Drop configurations.
13,500kg BDM
Common body length: approximately 21ft–26ft
Suitable for larger vehicles, machinery and medium-duty self-loader applications.
19,000kg BDM and above
Body dimensions can be customised depending on chassis, wheelbase and intended cargo.
31,000kg–33,000kg BDM Heavy-Duty Self Loader
Common body length: approximately 32ft–33ft
Suitable for machinery, commercial vehicles, equipment and other heavy-duty transportation applications.
Actual body length and capacity will depend on the truck chassis, wheelbase, axle configuration, weight distribution, BDM and applicable approval requirements.
Half Down & Full Down / Full Drop
Customers can choose different loading configurations depending on their application.
Half Down Car Carrier provides a practical loading angle for vehicle transportation and recovery.
Full Down / Full Drop Car Carrier allows the platform to lower further toward ground level, making it easier to load low vehicles, damaged vehicles or vehicles that cannot drive onto a conventional platform.
Winch System
A winch system can be fitted to help pull vehicles, machinery or equipment onto the carrier platform.

Optional H-Jack
For suitable Self Loader applications, an H-Jack / hydraulic stabiliser system can be added to provide additional stability during loading and unloading.
This option is particularly useful for larger and heavier Self Loader applications. The appropriate H-Jack specification will depend on the chassis, body design and intended operating load.
Car Carrier with Event Box
For customers requiring something more specialised, ECO-R can also fabricate a Car Carrier with Event Box, particularly for 7,500kg BDM trucks, subject to final weight and body design.
This configuration combines a vehicle carrier with an enclosed event, promotional or display area.
It is suitable for applications such as automotive roadshows, product launches, exhibitions, promotional events, mobile displays and brand activations.
The Event Box can be customised with built-in air conditioning, lighting, electrical points, custom doors, storage areas, interior finishing and company branding.
Customers can also request customised exterior colours, stickers, artwork or full corporate branding according to the event concept.
The Car Carrier section can still be equipped with a winch system, loading platform and Half Down or Full Down configuration depending on the chassis and final design.
For an Event Box project, customers can provide us with the intended event use, vehicle to be carried, required box dimensions, air-conditioning requirement and interior setup. ECO-R can then propose a suitable configuration.
